Dodge introduced the Avenger as its Car of Tomorrow model on January 9 in Detroit. A little more than a week later the Avenger was turning heads at Daytona when Kurt Busch topped the speed charts on the last day of testing at 191.188 mph, more than 4 mph faster than with what Busch refers to as the CORN--Car of Right Now. Paul Menard's No. 15 Dale Earnhardt Inc. Chevrolet ran 187.099 mph on Wednesday afternoon. "It was a nice shakedown for us to get ahead of the competition," Busch said after the run. The Avenger makes its debut in competition on March 25 at Bristol Motor Speedway. . . .
