Homestead Race Final Results

Oh how sad to be posting the thread for the final race results for the final race of the season!! After this weekend we will have 3 raceless months! I know that all of us will be counting down the days until Daytona. This thread is for the qualifying and final race results and if any of you have anything you would like to add about this race, feel free, as always.

I missed most of qualifying, what a weird out come. Ward Burton didn't make it in (sorry NascarFan) and I see that Dale Jarrrett, Jamie McMurray and Tony Raines all had to use owner points to get in. Bill Elliot also took the Champions Provisional. Casey Mears, Kurt Busch and Denny Hamlin are all starting in the back too. Maybe it is just me, but it seems like a strange qualifying

On a positive note all three of the Everhamn cars are in the first 4 spots. Good for them and let's hope that Kasey Kahne stays up front for the entire race. Wow I see now that RCR has all 3 of their cars in the top 10 too! GO RCR!

Well it's all coming down to this race, this is what France wanted when he came up with the Chase format. Mathematically the Championship can be won by any of the top 5 drivers. So be sure to watch the race on Sunday to see just who the 2006 Nascar Nextel Cup Champion will be!
