Tailgating
Pocono has one of the most accessible pit areas for getting autographs from your favorite drivers. If you plan on camping in the infield, take everything along you will need for the whole weekend, as there is nowhere to buy supplies inside or anywhere near the track and there are no passes out of the infield.

Target back on the #40 car at Pocono: As Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) continues to celebrate its long heritage with Target Racing, which has been with the team for 18 years making it one of the longest racing relationships in history, David Stremme and the #40 team will again be sporting the white and red Target paint scheme in this weekend's Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway.(CGRFS PR), see an image of the scheme on my #40 Team Schemes page.(8-1-2007)

Rudd to run Combos at Pocono: This weekend the #88 Yates/Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing team and driver Ricky Rudd will be running the bright orange Combos Ford Fusion for the first time this season instead of their traditional Snickers Ford paint scheme in the Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway. Combos is the “Official Cheese-Filled Snack” of NASCAR and an associate sponsor on the #88 and #38 cars for the 2007 season. This is the first of two races Rudd will run the Combos Ford this year (Pocono and Martinsville)(Elevation Group PR), see am image of the scheme on my #88 Team Schemes page.(8-2-2007)

Rush Hour 3 Scheme on the #96 at Pocono: DLP HDTV is teaming up with New
Line Cinema to support the upcoming action comedy, Rush Hour 3, in a
promotional partnership that includes in-theater, online and a NASCAR
overlay. Rush Hour 3, starring Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan and directed by
Brett Ratner, will be featured on Tony Raines' #96 DLP HDTV Chevy during the
Aug. 5 Pennsylvania 500 Nextel Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway in Long
Pond, Pa. Rush Hour 3 opens in theaters Aug. 10. The movie will be shown
across the world in a digital format on DLP Cinema projectors. DLP leads the
cinema movement from film to digital movies with over 4,000 screens powered

Goodyear Tire Notes: Pocono
This is the same combination of left- and right-side tires that Goodyear
brought to Pocono in June -- Pocono is the only track at which teams will
run this exact combination this season -- however, these left- and
right-side codes will be used in different combinations at other Nextel Cup
tracks -- this left-side code (D-4104) is run at New Hampshire, Phoenix and
Richmond, while this right-side code (D-4098) is run at Bristol in 2007 --
as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one-mile in length, teams are required
to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Pocono -- air pressure in
those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
