Not only am I a very proud American but I also respect everything about our customs and traditions. During the National Anthem at the Budweiser Shootout there was a glimps of Jeff Gordon and his wife is fixing his hair, during the National Anthem...where's his sense of patriotism or is it all about him? An amazing driver but that doesn't give him the right to not participate in our National Anthem. I don't understand.

It used to bug the heck out of me when I'd see people on pit road not "respecting" the National Anthem. Until last November when I had the opportunity to watch the Texas race from the pits. I learned that when you're in the pit it's virtually impossible to hear whats going over the PA system because all the speakers face the stands. It's so loud, you simply can't hear.
