I have said congrats to Jeff a few times, He will never be my favorite driver but that doesn't mean I'm going to bash him and I don't see why some Gordon fans have to bash the E's but I have to agree with BigE Richard was the king then it was Sr. and now it's Jeff...He's not the king yet but I'm sure he will be soon and if Sr. wouldn't of died in that crash he would of raced a few more years and Jeff would still be behind him on that win list.

really shouldn't feel that way.. Like him or not, you have to admire him for what he has accomplished. Regardless of the name, winning that much is truly a great accomplishment
I really don't have to "admire" anything he did ,and he wasn't that good of a racer that's all, now DW is a story in itself he actually had more wins than Dale but not the championships, how many folks out there admire him, I know I don't, but he has said SEVERAL times if Jeff Gordon hadn't won like he did their split($$$) on racing pots would be nil. But the Best of ALL Time is the the "Ole Gray Fox" David Pearson.
When jr. grows up and acts like a man I may change my mind, but as of now , he's just a racer with a lot of ignorant fans following him, nothing more, just look at his record!. If I'm not mistaken Jeff won 13 in one year, that's nearly Jr.'s total....have to give him a "little" credit he has made himself into something he's not a "celebrity" not a racer. Please tell me when another driver's fans did what Jr.'s have and then he says throw toilet paper and they're still out there throwing cans and bottles, and how many other fans have been hit because these idiots couldn't make it over the fence and it ended up on someones head or back..there are kids at these events, great way to show 'em how to act when their favorite driver doesn't win, but isn't even close to winning either.
I agree that Richard was the best in his day and Big E was the best in his day. Now it's Jeff's day and he's working on being the best. I'm not saying this just because I'm a fan of Jeff Gordon, I'm saying that this is "why" I became a Fan of Jeff Gordon. The guy has his Hot Years and his cold years and this year is looking Hot.

You are really confusing me here cuda. Stromy was talking about Jeff Gordon in her post! So you don't admire anything Jeff has done and don't feel he is a good racer?!?!!?
Also I do hope that you aren't implying that all Jr fans are "ignorant fans" because that is just down right insulting to the Jr fans we have here and all the others who don't throw trash on the track. Insulting other members will not be tolerated here!
There is already another thread about the trash throwing and to rehash that topic here is redundant. Here is that thread in case you want to make comments about it there, but insulting other members of this community is not to be done! Thank you. Drivers chastise fans throwing trash on track

Sorry jj73cuda but just becasue a few Jr. fans threw stuff on the track doesn't mean that were all like that. Us Jr. fans On Nascarspace are very nice people and we don't bash Gordon at all but as much as we try to be nice to you Gordon fans you coutinue to bash our driver and call us names. I don't understand why it always has to be E fans VS Gordon fans in almost every thread and by the way I recall seeing a Jimmie Johnson fan in hand cuffs after he threw stuff at Gordon.

I was not saying that Jeff was bad or anything even close to it..............it was a bad day for me and I let off more steam than I should have, but I still believe that Jeff was better than both of the E's. Also the sport really took off at least up here in New England when Jeff can onto the scene and really started winning races ....I know it took him a few years and more cars than I can count but when he got his "mojo" working no one could touch him. Also it was other drivers who started with name calling toward Jeff and the "fans" then took off with it. Granted some of those in here don't want to or can't remember sr in his early years when other folks ended in crashes or fences but I've been around Nascar for over 45 years, and had seen most of the great ones and have met some of them when they raced in Ct and Ny. Jeff like I said before has done more for this sport then almost anyone, and that's not saying others helped but it was mostly the #24,...btw can't wait until he passes Ole DW in wins.

Reason: left out word
Jeff Is my favorite, the guy is on fire, the only reason people are mad at him is because they are ALL cry babies, not gordon , but some of the fans!!!
