Now you can't tell us that Earnhardt was a constant intimidation. No one on that track was scared of Sr. Even gordon was a good friend and was even winning races when Sr. was racing. Earnhardt was an awesome driver or he wouldnt have won 7 championships. Gordon learned from Sr. so therefore Gordon has the potential of winning more championships.

jj73cuda......that is your opinion, but I will say that when he has 7 championships behind him. He is an awesome driver, I won't deny that, but you also have to look back at the "era" like bigEfan said (see below quote). There are many driver's of their time and Gordon and Earnhardt Sr. aren't in the same Era....My opinion is that Earnhardt to me is one of the best driver there has ever been... Now about Jr.....he has potential, especially since he is going to hendrick.....are you going to be a Jr. fan now????
