Congratulations to Juan Montoya in his First Nextel Cup Win!
To all those that are Montoya Haterz -
"Juan Pablo Montoya might be a NASCAR rookie, but he is a road-course master. Not known for his patience, the Colombian driver showed plenty of it yesterday. He used his well-honed road-racing skill to save his tires, stretch his fuel to the limit, and win the Toyota/Save Mart 350 for his first NASCAR Nextel Cup victory. Montoya, who qualified a disappointing 32nd in the 43-car field, was the first driver to win on the Northern California road circuit starting further back than 13th."

I knew he would do good on the road course. I think he has awesome potential for round track, but it will take him time.....as far as the road courses, exactly "he is a road-course master". Congrats Montoya!

I think there are a few drivers that would disagree with that statement. The sad thing he was so good yesterday that he could have easily passed those cars without touching them but didnt have the patience to do it.
#42-Juan Pablo Montoya of Colombia, is the first driver born outside the United States to win a race in NASCAR’s Nextel Cup series since Canadian Earl Ross triumphed at Martinsville in 1974. The other foreign born driver to win a Cup race is Mario Andretti, born in Italy, won the 1967 Daytona 500.

There's nothing wrong with 'touching' other cars out there...the important thing is he didn't wreck anyone.
He had a great race, but really it was Tony's to lose. I guess the fuel mileage thing is going to be a deal until the teams have had more COT races under their belts.
Ok I was at turn 7 and he did touch some people ,but so did the rest of the field. As long as he didnt take anybody out of the race I think it was great racing. Congrats to the road course master JPM
