Furniture Row Racing #78 Kenny Wallace info
Furniture Row Racing -- the only full-time Cup organization located west of the Mississippi -- has beefed up its Denver-based staff starting with crew chief Jay Guy. The veteran chief will lead the No. 78 Chevrolet, which will be driven by Kenny Wallace. Guy spent the past two seasons working as a crew chief for Wood Brothers/JTG Motorsports with drivers Jon Wood and Stacy Compton. Guy's presence enables Joe Garone to shift from crew chief to G.M., which will allow him to focus on overall race operations. Wallace will concentrate on the Cup effort, though FRR could field Busch cars in a few events throughout the season. Doug Holbrook, formerly the Evernham Motorsports shop foreman, is the new car chief for the No. 78 team and will continue similar shop duties at FRR. Gary Beveridge, who oversaw the superspeedway program at Robert Yates Racing, is the new fabrication shop supervisor. FRR will continue its technical partnership with Ginn Motorsports for 2007. The No. 78 team will continue to get its chassis from Ginn, which also will take over the training and operations of the pit crew for the No. 78. Look for Ginn to supply the team's Cars of Tomorrow.
