Lightbulb Enlightenment Needed

Now that the Super Bowl is over, what is the "Super Bowl" of NASCAR, and who is favored to win it?

There are actually quite a few big races in Nascar, the Daytona 500 is of course the best way to start off the season, some people consider this race to be the Super Bowl of Nascar. There is also the Coca-Cola 600 which is a long race but its for fun, the winner could win a million dollars on this one, and there's the stretch of the Chase for the Cup, the last ten races of the season and then the champion gets crowned so to speak at Homestead the last race of the year. So however you shall look at it, there are quite a few BIG races throughout the season. And I'm sure other people will voice their opinion on this also.

I would agree, but I would add the Brickyard 400.

Pretty much the whole ten races at the end of the season, and if we are lucky....Homestead will be close...
If we could get a few drivers in the 1.2.3. spots about 20 points apart at Homestead, that would sure beat the Super Bowl...

Id have to say NASCAR is backwards from football, the "superbowl" is the first race instead of the last, and thats the Daytona 500, no points yet, its racing all out no holds bar, everyone is truly in it to win with little to lose and personally Id like to see Jr win it

I agree 100%. The Race for the Chase platform works better as the season finally but the 500 has always been called the "Super Bowl of NASCAR" as long as I remember. It has playoff races (Gatorade duels), like the NFL and all the prestige. The winner takes home more money for winning this race than any other. Last year Harvick won about $1.5 million. WOW

Didn't Lee Petty win about $500 winning the first one?

Ricola.
