Woman Sits on Toilet for 2 Years:::

Police in western Kansas are investigating what they call a bizarre case of a woman they said sat on her boyfriend's toilet for two years.

Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple said the boyfriend called the Sheriff's office late last month to report that something was wrong with his girlfriend.

The sheriff said the woman's muscles had atrophied and that medical personnel had to remove her from the toilet because she was bound to it by "natural means."

Whipple said the woman initially refused ambulance service and didn't want to leave. Officers say she is hospitalized in Wichita but is refusing to talk to authorities. Her boyfriend said she stayed in the bathroom on her own free will.

Whipple said the boyfriend called police on February 27th to
report that "there was something wrong with his girlfriend,"
never explaining why it took him two years to call.

He said the boyfriend had brought the woman food and water
during the two years and told investigators he asked her daily to
come out of the bathroom, but she would not.

Ness County Attorney, Craig Crosswhite released a statement regarding the case on Thursday. Crosswhite said he will be reviewing the Sheriff's report and afterwards will file necessary legal proceedings in Ness County District Court. He said he will consult with the Kansas Attorney General's Office concerning the nature and extent of possible charges which can be pursued.

On a more interesting note ... this was the case for the jury that I was almost chosen to be on, yikes I wouldn't have wanted to.

May 8, 2008
Phillip Mumaw's family waited eight years to hear a guilty verdict.

And it took an Orange County jury less than three hours to deliver it.

On Wednesday, jurors found 30-year-old Aurlieas Dane McClarty guilty of two counts of first-degree murder and robbery with a firearm.

Prosecutors say McClarty walked into an Orlando U-haul store with a .380-caliber Colt pistol in the early morning of July 18, 2000.

He shot 59-year-old Mumaw, the store's manager, and 48-year-old Anne Culp, an employee, as they stood behind a register.

McClarty stole $200 and fled.

More than a dozen relatives of Mumaw sat through the eight-day trial. They held back tears through some testimony and comforted one another outside the courtroom when times got hard. Culp's family did not attend.

"My father was a very loving man," said Mumaw's oldest son, Steve Mumaw, 44. "We've been trying to deal with it the best way we could because it's been a very difficult situation."

The penalty phase will begin Monday at 9 a.m. That's when attorneys on both sides will present evidence as to why McClarty should or should not be executed by the state.

The same jurors who found him guilty will make a recommendation -- either life in prison or death -- to Orange Circuit Court Judge Bob Wattles. The judge will make the final determination at a later date.

This is the second trial for McClarty.

In 2003, a jury was selected and testimony was starting when the judge postponed the trial. At that time, doctors found McClarty to be incompetent to stand trial.

He was sent to a state mental hospital for treatment. Nearly four years later, Wattles found him competent to stand trial.

McClarty showed little emotion Wednesday when the verdict was read. He stood next to his two defense attorneys with his wrists and ankles shackled. More than a dozen deputies and corrections officers filled the courtroom in case McClarty acted up. He remained calm.

As deputies escorted McClarty out of the courtroom, some of Mumaw's family members hugged prosecutor Linda Drane-Burdick. Orlando police Detective Joel Wright -- who helped investigate the case with now-retired Detective Glen Gause -- stayed to see the outcome.

"Whenever you have two people who get up in the morning and go to work and they expect their day to go as usual and then something like this happens," he said, "it does something to you as a detective."

MIKE HONCHO will become famous soon enough
Melbourne, May 14 : A 13-year-old boy from Texas has been convicted of fraud for hiring two hookers and racking up 30,000 dollars in charges on his father's credit card, it has emerged.

According to money.co.uk, Ralph Hardy confessed to ordering an extra credit card from his dad's existing credit card company and taking his pals on a spending spree after which they ended up playing Halo on an Xbox with the hookers in a Texas motel.

The 1000 dollars -a-night prostitutes were released without charge but Ralph was given a three-year community order upon his conviction on May 9, reports news.com.au.

The prostitutes told police they grew suspicious when the kids said they'd rather play Xbox than play with them.

Authorities were alerted to the motel by a delivery clerk who, after delivering supplies of Dr Pepper, Oreos and Fritos, was asked by the kids where they could hire some escorts.

They explained they'd just won big at a World of Warcraft tournament and wanted to relax.

The delivery clerk called the police who arrived to find 3,000 dollars in cash, electronic gadgets, an Xbox console and games, plus the two prostitutes.

Ralph reportedly told the officers his dad wouldn't mind, because he'd turned 13 the previous week and he'd forgot to get him a present.
