So, mrs told me to start my own thread about open wheel racin' and I thought I would do so. My kind of Open wheel racin is at my local track @ Mobile Interantional Speedway (www.mobilespeedway.net) One of my all time favorite races is our Modified races. I have some buddies who race in that division. Check out some of my pics I have posted. I am also a huge Sportsman series fan....see those pics too...... I want to hear about everyone's local racin stories and see some pictures. Post your pics and stories
My buddy Ricky Neil - R6
My Buddy Paul Reils - 74
My buddy Michael Moody - 15
And the wrecks.......
My Buddy Howard Langham - 1
My buddy Ronnie Moody, Jr - 17
My buddy Jonathan Langham - 1

Good thread. I just started racing this season myself. Saturday night was my first race... good times. Here is our local, and only asphalt track in WV Ona Speedway. And here are pictures from this past Saturday Pictures
My pile is the red #64 Classic in that mess of pictures We run Modifieds, Late Models, Hobby Stock(Sportsman), Classics, Any cars(stock hobby stocks kinda) and U-cars(4 cylinder).
Pictures of my car are here and our race team page is located here
good thread, do you know anything on the carolina clash series?...they used to come here to sumter, but can't find anything out about them this year...any ideas?
That is so awesome! We have just in our county 3 tracks. I enjoy watching them race. How did you do Sat, DCA?
I did OK for my first time I guess. I elected to start in the back, stayed out of trouble but far enough ahead to keep from causing trouble. Almost went a lap down one time but a caution saved me. We ended up with an eighth place finish out of twelve cars. People in the stands probably thought I looked like a jack@$$ in a horse race

Naaa, you did the smart thing. Your didn't tear your car up. Get the hang of it and the feel for your car and track and you will get better and start and stay up at the top. be patient, it will come..... Congrats on your finish.
