I live in Kansas, and in the past 3 days, Wichita has had 3 different crashes that killed 4 people. Dont ppl learn by watching the news and hearing about all these crashes, or is it the new way of commiting suicide (No Joke)?? Where u live, has their been quite a bit of cycle crashes? or is it just here that people are retards?

Went down to Cali last summer to visit family, and found out that people their are allowed to go between cars stopped at road work. They have no rules in cali i guess and their are still less crashes acording to our family. So is it just here in kansas, or does this happen where u live?

I used to live out in the country on a highway, alot of factory workers would use the highway to get home and every day around 3:30 when all the workers were getting off work this one kid on a crotch rocket would come speeding by at really high speeds and pass all the other cars on the road. I mean he went so fast that if you would've blinked once you would've missed him. My Dad always said that he was going to throw a rock out into the road when this kid came by on that bike. Finally one day this kid came speeding by and a cop just happend to be in the area, the cop put his lights and siren on and went chasing after this kid. I don't know if the cop ever caught up with the crotch rocket and I don't know if the kid still drives like that because I moved and this was a few years ago. I can't stand people that think just because they have some fancy crotch rocket or ninja bike that they can speed around all the time and not get stopped for it. Alot of guys around here have crotch rockets but they actually follow the speed limits and care about other people on the road instead of weaving around cars and speeding by semi trucks like that kid used to do.
I don't here about a lot of motorcycle accidents around here and that surprises me because there is alot of bad drivers in my town.

Wait not all Motorcyclist are reckless. Any insurance agant will tell you most motorcycle accidents are the fault of the other driver. We are hard to see. I know that there is a huge problem with the "crotch rockets" but most motor cycle drivers I know are extremly carfeful.

I know what you mean Smokeonfire, I was just complaining about some young guys around here that speed around on their crotch rockets and don't care about the other people on the road. Otherwise we have no problem with accidents between cars and motorcycles, we mostly have car crashes because like I said there is a lot of crazy drivers around here.

Lots of idiots on crotch rockets in Orlando, lots die too. It's almost not news worthy when it happens here. If people want to drive like maniacs then no sympathies.

Most motorcycle fatalities are not broadcast on the news. We probably see about 2-3 a week. Those are just fatalities. We probably have about 3 times that many motorcycle accidents with severe injuries. Motorcycle accidents are very common this time of year. I would say 90% of motorcycle accidents are caused because of car drivers not paying attention to them. Not because the cyclist did anything wrong.
Make sure you watch for motorcycles, not just other cars.

there is a trend toward older men ... who are not motorcyclists until they get older and have the money to buy bikes that are too powerful for a novice rider.. well it is a recipe for disaster, and we have so many more cars on the road now than 25 yrs ago... alot of inexperienced car drivers on the road too.
