NASCAR RULES CHANGE NOTIFICATION
#2007-29-0002-A
In an effort to enhance the art of motorsport racing and give someone
else a chance at the NEXTEL CUP CHAMPIONSHIP, the governing body of
NASCAR is enacting rule change #2007-29-0002-A, also known as:
"CHEVY PARTY RULE", which states:
1 Regardless of qualifying speeds or owner points, all Chevys must start 10 laps down.
2 CHEVY drivers must be blindfolded, with one (1) arm tied behind back.
3 CHEVYS must use 87 octane fuel and have four (4) flat tires,
preferably Hoosiers.
4 CHEVYS shall operate in one gear-REVERSE.
5 CHEVYS shall carry two (2) passengers, preferably Sumo Wrestlers.
6 During pit stops CHEVY crews are only allowed one man over the wall.
7 Toyotas shall be allowed to bump any car off the track as they
deems necessary to get to the front.
8 Toyota, Dodge and Ford shall be allowed to change cars when they blow engines or suffers any other damage, and other racers MUST STOP and WAIT so one of the above listed may reenter the race in first place.
9 DW will only pay attention and mention cars that dont have a bowtie decal
10 Toyota shall be allowed to run and qualifywithout a restrictor plate at daytona and talladega in hopes of leading a lap.
THESE RULES SHALL TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY AND MAY BE AMENDED AS NECESSARY
