Holy crap!!! The BOBCATS beat the Spurs tonight! I wish I would've been able to see that game, but all I had was Memphis vs Sacramento! I would've loved to see the Spurs LOSE to the freakin Bobcats! ahahaha
Alright y'all, the Mavs have now won 10 games in a row. YES! I went to the game Saturday night against the Hornets. It was a lot of fun, but I ended up wandering around through the 3nd quarter on into the half. That game was decided in the 1st quarter.
The T-Wolves came back Monday night during the 4th, and in true Mavs style, they started slipping. I was worried there for a while since they lost like a 15 point lead, but they pulled it off.
Seems not too many here are basketball fans, but I fully intend to keep posting to myself!
Hi SL, maybe I'll become an NBA fan for a while. I went to the game last nite, Blazers lost to Orlando. Game was tied with 1.3 seconds to go, Blazers finally tied it, Orlando lead the whole way but we stayed close. Every time we would get within 2 we couldn't tie it. So...1.3 seconds, tied, Orlando has the ball. An amazing play, Grant Hill scores. We are shocked. Orlando wins. I am very unhappy. I figured we would pull out the win.
You know something Smoke, the Magic are actually pretty good right now! I'm shocked too! The Eastern Conference is a joke at the moment though. PATHETIC! The Mavs are due for a loss soon enough, we'll probably lose to some unexpected team too. I love when games are close like that, although sometimes I think they're going to give me an early heart attack! Basketball can be something to hold you over until the new season starts at least!
Mavs are leading the SW Division right now, 12-4! That's awesome considering their horrible start. Right behind us though are the team I hate the most, The Spurs. Houston is right behind the Spurs, but I don't care enough about the Rockets to even hate them. hehe I think the 3 Texas teams are in the top 5 of the NBA right now, that's pretty cool! Tonight the Mavs face the Wizards, tomorrow the Nets.
Your Mav's are on it this year! And you thought they would suck because of their early losses, lol. I don't know, I have a hard time watching the games on tv now, after races. But it is fun to go to a game and see it in person. I don't even know where everyone is now, as far as players go. Is Dirk still at Dallas?
Oh, you'll like this maybe - So there was one guy on the Blazers that I liked - he started and his number is 5. But he wasn't in the game later and we were getting behind. So I say "well, they need to put the 5 in!" My friend says, "huh? Oh you mean *** (whatever his name is). And I said, "well of course!" I called the player "the 5". Lol.
Hehe the 5!!! My favorite Mav besides Dirk is "the 5" too. One of my friends that went to the game with us was pouting when it first started. I asked her what was wrong she said with the saddest looking face "they're not telling me what's going on like they do on TV." Haha It was so funny the way she said it.
Dirk is still here, he has to be, we'd get KILLED without him. He's are only so called superstar. Nash and Finley both went to the dark side. Nash is now with Phoenix and Finley went to the Spurs.
Speaking of losing, I figured there was no reason to watch the start of the game since it's the Wizards, surely we'd win right? BS! I turned it on half way through the 3rd and the Mavs were down by 31 points!! 31 freakin points! Right now, going into the 4th they're down 22. Oh well, the winning streak had to end at some point. I knew it would be to some team we were all sure they'd beat.
Lol, that's hilarious, SL regarding your friend! You'd be proud of me, I watched part of a game on tv last nite! Blazers went into ot but lost. But they did win the other nite. So we're 7 and 13. I see the Mavs are 13 and 5! Ha ha, the Lakers lost last night, I've never liked them, they are our enemies. I especially don't care for Kobe. Like you don't like the Spurs or Rockets, we don't like the Lakers and the Sonics, lol!
