My buddies and I are travelling to the Pocono 500 next weekend and had some general questions. It's our first time at Pocono, and we've got some questions:

1. When do the gates open for the race on Sunday, and how early should we get there.
2. What's the party scene on Saturday night? Any good bars, nightclubs, eateries around the track area.

Well, honestly...You ain't gonna find much of anything around Poconos...it's out in the boondocks!!! Unless you travel for a while..
Being that there ain't much but trees and fields there, everyone hangs around the track...Saturday night in the infield is the place to be....Party central, if you will..

Gates usually open around 9 bells on Sunday.

really living about 2 hours from there the only thing to do around pocano happens between December and early march and involves snow
