You don't understand what I mean!
With all the science we have at least the past 50yrs....there is no reason why something else reasonably priced hasn't been discovered.
Only thing I can think of is oil company controling intrest.

No, there is no cospiracy theory.... You don't think that some venture capitalist could have made BILLIONS of dollars with an "alternative fuel" back in the 70's?
Look, Alternatives have been tried, many of them are viable (many are not, ::coughETHANOLcough:, but none near as cheap and reliable as gasoline. And beyone that, gasoline has been plentiful for decades and will continue to be plentiful for decades to come! As technology grows, EVENTUALLy we will find something to replace oil... but not yet... and there is no reason to hope for it yet. Oil is still plentiful, relatively cheap, and relatively clean.

1) You assume oil is going to run out in 50 years, which they though 50 years ago and we know about 5x the oil they knew about then...
2) you assume we AREN'T fighting over oil right now...
3) You assume that technological advances won't produce alternatives in 50 years
4) You assume that there wont' be WWV and we all get nuked and die by then

Nope no doubt im my mind we are fighting over oil right now.
NO DOUBT in my mind about getting nuked in the next 50yrs the way things are going....matter of fact I wouldn't doubt 10yrs is more realistic!
