How many of you live from week, to week..?..I swear, it's basically survival for me, with my internet getting cut last week, it made me curious, how many others that may live with the decesions, buy groceries, pay on the furniture, lights, rent/morgage...At least we have the right to choose..LOL

And thank God we do have the right to choose!
But sometimes the choices are really hard. I read somewhere that a huge group American
working class citizens are about 2 paychecks away for being homeless. That is alarming!

My Mom and I live from pay check to pay check and we also had our internet cut off last week becasue we forgot to pay and then this week we had our hot water shut off becasue we thought we had longer to pay it but I guess we didn't. We got it hooked back up but we play the game 'Should we pay a bill this week or eat this week?'. In are little town it's hard to find a good paying job, I'm almost old enough to get a job and start helping her pay the bills. I now understand the saying 'Money is the root of all evil'.

I wondered where you went off to last week, I knew I hadn't seen you in awhile. I missed you!
I completely understand. In recent months I have had to make some serious choices about money in order to pay for some desperately needed therapy for my son. I know credit cards are bad but sometimes I would be without necessities without them. Don't feel alone girl, right here with you!

You are such a sweetie and so responsible to understand and want to help your mom!! I started working at 15 in fast food restaurants, hope you can find a job you enjoy! I applaud you for being so aware and grown up! Your mom must really be proud of you!

I think we all have been in those situations more than once. Just work hard, make good decisions, and a little prayer don't hurt either...it's tough...
When I moved to Central PA, I figured I was comfortable with my career, so we decided to settle down, and buy a house. Had 2 car payments and bills that we were just making, but had enough left over to live on....then the furloughs hit...and we couldn't make all them bills and payments...almost lost the house and a car....The wife got a job, I took on a second job, to make ends meet...but they barely did...it was tough, juggling bills, someone always working...but the main thing that kept me chuggin along was the kids. I didn't want to lose the roof over thier head, and made sure they had clothes on their backs and food in thier belly...it wasn't about us anymore...it was about them...
After a year and some months of this hell, my job finally stabilized...the wife kept her job, I quite the second job for 2 reasons...1. I was getting 4-5 hours of sleep a day, was wearing me down health wise. and 2. the kids...I never got to see them because I was either working, or trying to catch up on rest...I missed a whole summer not spending precious time with the kids..and they missed that. to this day, We still don't use credit cars, we use cash..if we din't have cash, we either don't buy it, or wait till the cash is available. BOth cars are paid for and we will keep it that way for a while...don't want that big car payment hanging over our heads....We don't want to be in that situation anymore...but truthfully, if anymore layoff arise and I lose this job for only one month...we would be right back in that rut again....so yes..its everywhere....but don't let it get you down...be strong!!
Right now is so hard, because i want so bad to go to Va to se my baby girl graduate Saturday, just trying not to just break down, if only there was something like a money tree, i'd give mine miracle grow...
