If I get angry at anyone,,,srry. I have been having problems at work...! Acouple of the night managers are so far up the bosses *** u dont even know. The boss will not beleive anyone when they say something about the manager, and if they do, the boss will just say it is hisown fault!! Nothin is ever the managers fault. We are getting to the point where if the boss dont beleive us, then we will have to talk with the main bosses of the company next time they come in. We had a parade Sat, and we went outside to watch it, It lasted awhile so I came inside to ask the manager if he wanted me to clock out to watch the parade then he started going off on me, and sayings stuff that ticked me off. So I let the other person that was watching the parade know, and she went and talked to the manager about it, then he tells the boss, and now me and the other person outside got in trouble by the boss. He said "he was really dissapointed in me" for insticating a fight. Then I told him what all happened...and nooo, it wasnt the managers fault...it was his fault (the boss) for not telling the manager we can watch the parade. The manager tells the checkers they have big tits...gets away with it...tells the checkers they cant leave unless they give him a bj (srry if that is inappropriate) but that is what he tells them. And it ticks me off, that he dont beleive us about anything, and is always on the mangers side!!
So that is why I act upset...nothing any of u did, just those problems.

I hear ya on your problems. My old job at the bank was like that. If you went to the boss they would always always side with the manager/supervisor over no matter how many employees came to them about the problem or no matter how many times the same issue kept coming up. There was nothing you could do about it. Luckily I never really got into it with many people at all and if I got angry over stuff it only lasted for like a day.
Once it was close to Christmas time and a friend/coworker I was working with to complete a job that day kept saying all day long ... oh I think I'm going to ask to leave early, I really want to talk my daughter to go to the mall, blah blah blah. Well I was like yeah right no one is going to let you leave, cause our job that day was really big. Well along came like 3:30, she goes into the one manager's office (who was her best friend) and next thing I know I'm left to finish the job, and stay late, myself. I didn't really both me that she asked to leave early but that manager should have NEVER said yes to it. So I was pissed and let a few people know including the big boss. They come back and tell me oh she had scheduled that in advance blah blah. I basically told them I didn't care about it anymore (cause it was already a week later) but that that was an outright lie.
Basically I say just choose your battles. Is this a good job? Can you go get a job somewhere else? If so just leave the crap to someone else. Why try to change it all when you know it will do no good.

Sure, I wouldnt mind anyone coming and replacing him!! Another store opening about 3 hrs away,,,hope to god he moves to that store! We have just 1 other manager that doesnt like this guy, but she really cant do anything. She is mainly just the pricing person, and probably still wouldnt be able to do anything.

lol it's kinda odd that you started this thread about work cuz I just finished a Psychology test where I had to read about Stress in the work place and it gave tips on how employees should get a long.
But yeah my Mom has a lot of issues at her work too.
She works at a factory on whats called the label line and the two other Women she works with really kiss up to the Manager but my Mom doesn't so the manager doesn't like my Mom because of that.

Yea, I thought about all that...and after the talk I got...he gave me my raise he promised the morning that the whole thing happened. And plus, I hate wearing jeans, and he allows me to wear my windpants and wont let anyone else. So I really dont have a problem with him other then letting the manager get away with anything.

so the checkers have big what? ... hmm is it so? hey grab me an application! ...hate to say it.. you will have personality problems anywhere you go. and if the checkers ever get a complaint filed, could get ugly for your employer... the mitsubishi plant here recently settled a huge lawsuit for sexual harassment. this sort of thing is really getting taken very seriously lately and with the eminent economic problems ... better take good care of any job you can get, will be hard to get another! so about the application......lol
