Stewart, Schrader, Carmichael, Almirola and Logano set to appear at two-day event

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (March 11, 2008) – NASCAR driver Mark Martin will host his fourth annual Fan Appreciation Days at his museum in his hometown of Batesville, Ark. on March 21 and 22. This will be the fourth annual holding of the event, which started in 2005 and has become a favorite of the fans and drivers alike.

“It’s really turned into one of my favorite things to do all year,” said Martin, who has made over 700 career Sprint Cup starts in his 30 plus year racing career. “It’s different than anything else we do, because it isn’t centered around a race or anything else. It’s a time when I can take my time and really get to enjoy the time with the fans.”

As in years past, Martin will be joined by an all-star cast for the event. For the second consecutive year, NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart will be on hand, as well as fellow long time NASCAR competitor Ken Schrader and Dale Earnhardt Inc. teammate and co-driver Aric Almirola. They will be joined by Busch East Champion Joey Logano and MotoX Champion and legend Ricky Carmichael.

“We’ve been really fortunate to have some of the best in the business in here for the event,” added Martin. “Rusty Wallace came in for the first one and we’ve had champions like Matt Kenseth, Kurt Busch and Tony Stewart. Tony’s coming again and I know that we are all going to have a great time with the fans that weekend.


“It’s just a great way to give back to the fans that have given me so much over the years,” said Martin. “It really is one of the most rewarding things that we do each year. I grew up in Batesville and it’s just awesome to have everyone come out here and show their support each year and it’s just as awesome to be able to share that with them.”
