Well race fans, we will soon all be suffering from the same thing around here ~
Nascar Withdrawals!!
This is our annual meeting thread for the off season, so that we will all have a place to come to complain, rant, cry or whine about the lack of Nascar in our lives!
The outside world just doesn't get it on how bad we do suffer in the off season!!
I guess it's a racin' thing!!
So here you can express your frustrations, 24/7, this Nascarholics Annonymous meeting will not close until the drop of the green flag at Daytona. Please feel free to post in this thread what you are doing currently to deal with the need for Nascar speed or your frustration at the lack of it!
You will find like minded race fans here, who are just like you, missing and needing a Nascar fix! We Nascar Junkies are cut from the same cloth and together we will help support each other until the Daytona 500!

Your so right mrs12, My family just does not get why I am sad when the season ends. I feel lost! There will be nothing to do on Sundays anymore but channel surf No more locking the tv on the channel the race is on and sitting back and relaxing...I have yet to find something to do to get my Nascar fix, I hope I will find something soon.

I know how it is Four! We will be here for you all off season long! We understand and my family is just glad that I am not glued to the TV on Sundays! You make sure that you stay with us during the off season, we care and we understand!

I found the following on the net tonight and thought it would fit in well in this thread. I also don't watch football, so I can really relate to what the writer is saying!
Ok, this is weekend one of the off-season...great for the drivers, crews and everyone that works in the sport, but that means the start of withdrawls for NASCAR fanatics.
I'm sure the holidays make it a little easier for some, family is over, college football is on, etc., but if you don't watch football, this starts the long off-season of finding things to do on the weekends when you're normally watching racing.
What do you do during the off-season to pass the time? I usually complain, play NASCAR video games, other games, complain, do things with the kids, get ready for Christmas and did I mention complain?
In other words, I drive my family nuts waiting for NASCAR to start up again.
So how do you handle the off-season?
Oh and only 73 days until the Bud Shootout
I can also relate to our mascot, the withdrawl bird, this is how I was feeling last Sunday afternoon.
Did they make Sundays longer? Because I thought last Sunday would never end!!
Do y'all feel like this too??

I have been watching my race tapes since NASCAR has ended... But they only last for so long! AHHHHH!!!!! Tonight I'll be heading out to the dragstrip, just to see fast cars. Thats my addiction. lol.
I COULD GO TO CHURCH BUT ID BE PRAYING THAT NASCAR WAS ON. (EVEN IF IT WAS ON ESPN) GOD! I MISS TNT. I AM SERIOUSLY IN NASCAR WITHDRAW SO MY PROPOSAL IS THAT WE START A NA PROGRAM (NASCAR ANONYMOUS).
1ST STEP i ADMIT THAT I AM A NASCAR ADDICT
2ND STEP I HAVE WORN MY DVR OUT WATCHING OLD FOOTAGE
3RD STEP I SEARCH FOR ANYTHING NASCAR ON E BAY
4TH STEP i CREATE A NASCAR PROFILE (COMPLETED TODAY)
5TH STEP FIND RELATIVITY TO ALL THINGS AND CONVERT THEM TO DRIVERS NUMBERS
6TH STEP PLAY LOTTO TO BUY MY OWN FRANCHISE
7TH STEP NAME MY CAT SMOKE AFTER MY FAV DRIVER
8TH STEP TALK TO ALL MY FRIENDS ABOUT ALL THE TRADES AND FOREIGNERS HAPPENING IN THE SPORT.
9 TH STEP ACCEPT THAT IT IS BECOMING SO FRIKIN COMMERCIALIZED AND GIVE IT TO THE YUPPIES.
10TH STEP DRINK MORE BEER TO FORGET THAT AT ONE TIME THE SPORT ACTUALLY BELONGED TO THE FANS.
11 TH STEP FIND A NEW DRIVER TO CHEER ON WHILE MY TONY TAKES ON A FOREIGN CAR ( NO HABLA ESPANOL)
12 HOPE THAT MICHAEL WALTRIP CAN STAY OUT OF TROUBLE LONG ENOUGH TO RACE AGAIN.
