I'm looking for someone to help me with a few questions about Dover. I'm going to the June race(already have tickets) and need to book a hotel. Also wanted to see if there was any other advice you had. Any help is appreciated!

there is a book i picked up a few years ago... "track and travel guide" the edition i have is from 2003 nascar winston cup ..lol it is from Pit stop publishing inc, lionheart publishing don't know if they still put it out, but it has alot of good info, phone numbers , local restraunts, race shops, track guides explaining amenities... pretty good , but mine is obviosly not current... similiar to the disney guides put out by birnbaum... just do not know if they are still putting them out.

last night our tornado sirens went off at 3 am... no tornado... freezing rain caused a malfunction! and well the darn thing went off til 6:30 or so... man that was annoying! yeah resident night owl...lol
here are two more books available through amazon... might check your local library . am sure these can help.... don't forget to get your parking passes too... and pit or paddock passes.. and if you are in town many drivers do appearances at car dealers... grocery stores...sponsor stores... home depot, lowes, menards...etc so keep an eye on local papers there! check websites of your faves.. and race teams sites... for car and driver appearances, web sites like jayskis has a driver appearances.... get passes to hospitality areas if you can afford it, get cool stuff and they have drivers make appearances... and take coolers! you won't get out of the parking lots quickly! imagine all those peeps leaving at the same time! i took coolers of pop, and food, lawn chairs... race was over by 11, I finally left the parking area at 3am... beat fighting the lines of slow moving cars of drunk peeps... take pillows and nap if ya can... but most of all have fun!
Hi, I've been to Dover many times, but stay in a camper on the grounds with friends. A couple of times they got a room on the ocean at Rehobeth Beach, about a half-hour south of the Speedway and LOVED it down there. They got the best of both worlds; you might consider that.
