well that would be expected... Peoria Illinois is caterpillar hq... they have plants all around here and this is definitely cat country... Indy is not far from here.... when david green was the cat driver he did not have as big a following as did ward burton.... dave blaney is a class act and world of outlaws superstar... his popularity would be expected... different drivers have big followings due to sponsor support and local connections... hope ya had a great time at indy!

First just remember how lucky you are to be able to go to Antlanta. Never been but on the list.
When I went to Phoenix I myself took a non fan, but she did watch some of the race's with me. You will definitly need ear plugs. should have them at the program stand. Should be great for the kids too. Remember that there will be alot more going on than just the race's.
Sponser's go all out to take care of the fans. Lots of Swag and free gear. Also tons of things to do for you and your ex. Speed had the stage, and you should have concert's to do to at night.
I watched qualifing(Awsome) you can usually get the best seat on that day.
Your really lucky because you have the triple header, Trucks, Busch, Nextel.
Fanscan will be at the track. If I did anything different I would have had an RV ready and stayed at the track. Lots of partying, but I experienced no jerks, everyone was really cool to be around.
Just remember to take lots of pictures so you can go back and remember everythnig that happen. Believe me Atlanta should be a blast, and your head will be in a daze trying to see everything that is going on.
You'll need to go back after its all over just to remember everything you seen.
Have a blast

I would get ahold of the track and make sure about the size, Here is the addy for Dover: Dover International Speedway - The Monster MileŽ
Most tracks post that info on their sites, or call them. Better to be safe than sorry!
Please do let us know how you liked the race and Dover.
That is one of the tracks on my "someday" list.

Hi, everyone. Has anyone been to Dover? I'm headed there this sunday and could use some tips on how to make the traffic and crowd hassles as painless as possible.
Any one know any tips about where to park and what routes to take to minimize the traffic hassle? We're coming down from NJ and sitting in turn 4. We plan on being there early since we have pit passes.
How early should we really be there, and how long do we get to spend going through the pit area? I think our passes say that they're open from 8-10.
