Who else in the top 12 has had strong cars in the onset of a race and either faded to due pit strategy (or the lack of) or a crew cheif that couldn't make it better or at least keep it good throughout the race? And there's a couple times Eury LOOKED like a genius...IE Michigan and the 600, which he actually got lucky with the circumstances of everyone else having to pit. Was nothing he did or called.

Too many times this year he's had a top 5 car and finished outside the top 15 (last week is a prime example, even before hitting the wall they couldn't get the car right - OR HE WOULDN'T HIT THE WALl!!!!!!!!!)

4 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. 3084 -345 23 1 1 7 12

That is dale Jrs season...in 4th right now, with 1 win, 1 pole, 7 top 5s, and 12 top 10s...seems like they are doing just fine.

Looks like a pretty good first season with HMS to me...

Last week wasn't Tony's fault. If anyone here listens to the incar, It was Little Jr's call to stay out on the racetrack.

So quit pointing fingers and coming up with reasons to crucify Tony.

jep88fan , you need to find another driver to root for. This 88 team is going to give you ulcers. Don't get me wrong you have some valid points, but don't expect and changes soon.

SMOKEnAces The drivers name is Dale Earnhardt Junior , not little "little jr".
It takes less effort to just call him jr. I realize you don't like him and you are trying to irritate his fan base but the man deserves some respect.

Now that is the funniest stuff I've read in awhile. The man deserves some respect? Why is that? Why does he deserve respect anymore than any other driver? I haven't heard you defend Kyle, or Mr. Give & Take (Stewart) or anyone else when someone calls a driver some ridiculous name. I will give you "little jr." doesn't really make much sense, but to use the respect angle has been the highlight of my reading morning. I appreciate the laugh TOP GEAR. Thanks a lot.

No. I am not a fan!! I never stated I didn't like the guy. (But I don't like, like him..lol) Would I pass up an
opportunity to party with him??? No friggin way....That I like about the kid!

I was never a Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, or Kyle fan, but I have respect for them. They have proven thier worth as Superstars (well, Kyle still is proving it). they have my respect as drivers because I can't deny the fact that, they are good. Which is more than the respect alot of the Little Jr fans give to these winners. Now, I can give little jr some respect/credit for trying to be a superstar, and being the son of a Nascar legend but thats about it. I give all the drivers the credit they deserve. . But why would I give Little jr more credit than say, Greg Biffle, Truex Jr, Casey Mears, Reed Sorenson. Why should I? Those guys are good too.

But I will give him definite props and respect for his nightclub "Whiskey River". Not to mention the employees he hires. I WILL SAY THAT ABOUT HIM, HE HAS TASTE!!! WOWZAS!!

And for the nickname? Let me explain.
Some fans call him Little E - Used to distinguish him from his father, Big E.
and some call him Junior - Used to distinguish him from who?? Oop, right again, his father.
See the trend? Notice how both his nicknames reflect his famous father? No nickname that reflects his driving nor his personality.
So I figured, I'd combine both nicknames and I started calling him Little Jr...

makes sense to me

I call him Junior...just because that's what most people call him and because it doesn't take as long to say like Dale Earnhardt Jr. does lol
Something I don't get though is that people call him just a wanna be superstar (Yeah he's not a superstar) but people don't really give him credit for the things he's done in the past like Win the 500, two Busch series championships etc.
I'm not pointing a finger at anybody in this thread but I just notice that when people talk about Junior they act like he's never won anything in his life.
I'm not saying anyone should give him more credit or respect then the other 42 guys but I mean atleast give him a little credit for the things he has done.
