Or maybe Kyle just got a great restart off of Stewart, which, you know has happened a couple of times this year (think behind Johnson a few weeks ago?) Kyle has proven that this year he has the restart game DOWN.
Tony is a racer, he's on the longest dry spell of his long career, if he thought he had a better car than Kyle he would have gone for it. To think otherwise is to really not know Tony very well...
I'm curious, how well do you know "Tony". Obviously you know him better than anyone else, you call him "Tony" after all. My point is, unless he specifically told you what was going on in his head during the last few laps I'm guessing you have as much "knowledge" on the matter as my 5 year old.

So you think tony just let Kyle win it? Tony didnt have the car to win, and neither did ambrose or any drivers. From what i watched, Kyle was out front and pulled away every time. Was anyone really gaining on him the whole race other then johnson who was also out front for awhile b4 what i believe was tire issues?

I know Tony (not sure why you put quotes around his name, it is his name after all, no one calls him Mr. Stewart) as well as anyone that watches him race, watches his interviews, and reads about him on the internet. And all you can gleam from all that is that Tony would not just sit back if he believed he had a better car. He may have indeed been being quite a bit more cautious than Kyle (after all, 2nd might as well be 43rd for Kyle since he's all but guaranteed a Chase spot at this point, while Stewart is close enough to 12th to need to be a bit more careful), but he wouldn't have just given up the win for the sake of team unity or anything like that.

Lol? No, it doesn't matter if he gets 2nd or 43rd at this point, they are all the same. Only wins count for Kyle now that he's is all but assured a chase spot. Same with Earnheart and all the other top 5 or so drivers....

Tony might not have been able to pass Kyle but he didn't even try. He just held back on the restart to make sure Kyle got away from Ambrose(who could have ran with Kyle). Had that been Jeff Gordon do you think Tony would have dove into the turn and moved him out of the way?
Now you can ask why Tony would help Kyle win but thats another issue.

If he got a good restart, then he would try to get gordon...same with Kyle...if he got a good restart he would take a shot at him. he even said at the end of the race, he knew he didnt have the car to catch kyle. he had to get a good restart, which he didnt...and sure, if he didnt have the car, then he would want his teammate to win the race, so he might try to hold up ambrose, but i dont even think ambrose had the car to win. Not changing my mind though...stewart woulda took a shot, but he didnt have what it took. he did not lay back on the restart though.

Why wouldn't he? If he had done it intentionally because he knew he couldn't beat Kyle and wanted a 1-2 finish, it would have been a brilliant strategy play..... haha

All I'm saying is that he didn't try. Tony is great at WG so for him to "not get a good restart" seems a little fishy to me.
I would have done the same thing if I were him. Just sit back and finish 2nd and get points to make the chase.
