ok are you saying 7 championships mean nothing? gordon is a good driver... and I respect him as a racer. just have to admit I was floored to see a stewart fan endorsing gordon....lol gordon won alot of races. but I cannot say I ever saw too much spectacular out of him.... dale has. hate to say it.. seeing the crazy moves shrubb has been making... kinda reminiscent of the impatient moves dale made. Dale gave back to racing.. guided jeffy poo and many others into regenerating the sport, guys who thought about owning their own teams, he encouraged, he even drove a hendrick car to hendricks first win in a bush car, dale owned teams, helped out others. Aided friends and enemies alike... he put a washed out darrell waltrip in his pennzoil car. all I have heard of gordon doing is recruiting JJ for hendrick. gordon is not a car owner, and don't give me that crap about part owner of JJ's car... he is just a name on a piece of paper on that! just like when jack rousch put his mother's name on as a car owner! so many drivers are trying to revive the sport, harvick, stewart, blaney, Jr, schrader, k wallace, and others... these guys are out there, buying race tracks, dirt tracks, owning teams, getting up close and personal to promote racing, meeting fans, even tony..with his claustrophobia, gets among hoards of fans for meet and greets... tell me what jeffy does with all his money to perpetuate racing... and all the hooey about him giving to childens hospitals? tell me he gives more than what is required to get a tax deduction?

hee hee ok said what I said... bring on the love! :bananen_s milies031: :bananen_s milies031:

Are we talking about greatest DRIVER or person who contributes to the sport?

The topic of this sport was greatest driver, and driving the car has nothin to do with your money. GREATEST DRIVER means how good the driver is on the track, and how well he gets around it, and how consistent. It has nothin to do with money and where it goes.

But if we are talking about money...not sure if i understood what u said, but didnt u say giving to the children hospitals is nothin? ok, if thats what u think, thats fine. And stewart and schrader are the ones that stick out to me, and kasey kahen when talking about giving to the sport. But what does harvick give? I havent heard much or anything about him giving or buying a dirty track or anything. And havent heard anything about Jr doing anything either. It seems like what u are saying is that if they do not donate to the sport in general, it dont matter. Gordon does many many charity events, and gives a large amount of his winnings to charity. Are u trying to say thats not a good way to use your winnings???

note: i said buying tracks and owning teams... to perpetuate the sport... harvick owns...errrr his wife owns two truck teams and a nationwide team.. was three teams... blaney's family owns at least one dirt track... and I said I think that gordon only gives what is beneficial to him at tax time... the petty family made victory junction camp... poured money, time, and themselves into it... and yes forwheeling...lol I said bring the love.... he he he..

hmmmmm, so Gordon does not care about anyone but himself? If giving to charity didnt help him...u are saying he would keep all his winnings? My next question.....

What would u do with your winnings if u were a racer?
