Not a good subject for my first post but this has been something that's been in my crawl for awhile.
Dale Earnhardt Jr sucks. He's a paper tiger, ....more of a media machine than anything else. Looking back at the past several years, he has only been an also-ran, using all kinds of excuses for not placing. Yet, the media is always talking about him even as he is losing, ...and people fall for it. This is why Jr is one of the drivers picked to win every race even when he hasn't really won anything that counts. The media continues to keep his fans stoked, regardless of the fact that his performance is average at best. They are milking the money cow and everybody is cashing in on his dads legacy.
Speaking of that, ...now that Jr has wriggled out from under DEI, his last and biggest excuse, in an attempt to make a claim for himself, he still is not proving himself.
Please, give me a break. I don't want to always be hearing about the also-rans.
Dale Jr must be the mail mans kid because Jr is no Dale.
He's just an also-ran with a spit shine.
while some people here may agree with ya, tone down the bashing we don't bash here.. you're more than welcome to voice your opinion just do so in a familly friendly and gentle way thanks!
Jr's 5th in the points. He was also running in the top 10 when he was wrecked out in California. Had that not happened, he may be leading the points right now.

43 cars in a race, 21.5 is half, therefore 21-22 would be average.
Jrs average finish for this season is 5th. As far as past seasons hes never finished worse than 17th in points, including his Rookie year. In Busch he was back to back Champion.
No he,s not his Daddy....but the Boy can Drive.

Yeah maybe Junior didn't do so good last year and the media was going a little over board with the DEI drama but he's moved on from that and he was a contender for almost every race so far this year. Just like Flash said, He's not his Daddy and he never will be but he can drive just as good as everyone else in the field, He proved that and he keeps on proving it every weekend.
He ain't the mail mans son, He's an Earnhardt therefore he can drive the wheels off anything.

I was Sr fan for pretty much his whole career. I watched Jr grow up also. He paid his dues, worked in the dealership, started out in the lower series just like everyone else. He isnt coming in under his dads name. Did you watch him when his dad was still alive and Jr drove the AC-Delco car? He had some great battles with his then good bud Matt Kenseth, heard of him? Or is he just a mail kid too. They were both great in the Busch series and have matured into great drivers. It seems to me just like yesterday when he and DEI were the force to reckon with at restrictor plate races, everyone accused him of cheating he was so good and consistent. Did you miss this part of his career? How about when your boy Smoke just a couple of weeks ago at Daytona said he may even be better then his father. I wonder why he would say that? What happened with Jr a couple of years ago while leading Degga, who was that Brian Vickers? That wasnt his fault. Neither was all the motors going south last year. You cant win if your taken out blatently or your car breaks. Lets look at now. Where was Jeff and Jimmy yesterday, Whos higher in the points. Why arent his motors blowin up? There are periods in all drivers careers where they have unsuccessful years. Hell Gordons had a couple. Sr had more then a couple, Rusty, Dale Jarret when he drove the RYR 88 Ford Quality Care car had a few years when he seemed unbeatable. My point is all of these drivers are and where great drivers. To call any of them below average is outright misrepresentation of facts. All the drivers of the cup series are succesful in some other series which is a prerequisite to being in the series. In other words there all winners.
I somewhat agree. If thats the case and "all of these drivers are and where great drivers", why is his popularity with Sponsors and the media so much more than say, Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle, Ryan Newman, or even Truex Jr? It's not because of his performance as a driver, because he is no better than any other driver on the field. Its because he carries a marquee name (Earnhardt). His daddy was a champion and a great racecar driver. He hasn't won a race in 67 races and doesn't have a championship under his belt...yet....until then, the media and the sponsors have no reason to raise him up on a pedastol above other drivers that are just as good if not better. Defend him all you want, he is a GOOD racecar driver, But he's not a GREAT nascar driver. Don't get me wrong, I have respect for all the drivers that get behind the wheel and risk thier lives for our entertainment every week. I just respect some more than others. I'm not a Gordon fan, but I give the guy credit, he is a darn good driver. Same with JJ, Smoke, Jeff Burton, the Busch brother, even Ken Schrader (guy races darn near anything with wheels), and many others. Oh And we can't forget Matt Kenseth. Moved up to the Cup series the same time as JR, and has 16 career wins and a Championship.
