Still don't see how Jr. is overrated. I mean, yeah they talk about him a lot cuz he is the most popular driver out there. (which makes perfect sense) It's not like the media or TV coverage say he's the best driver. In fact, the only time they really brag about a drivers talent is when they win a lot. Jr. hasn't won alot in 1 season in a couple of years now.
I'd imagine if you were an Jr. fan it would be nice to see your driver on TV and talked about all the time. That's also the problem. Some people feel like he should, I don't know win a little more to deserve the attention that he gets.

I agree. I said it before and I'll say it again. Little JR's popularity is based on pedigree not performance.
U people are so wrong! He gets attention cuz he has the most fans. Now that could be cuz of his pedigree, but for whatever reason, the most popular driver will be given the most attention. Along with the guy who is winning the most and performing at the highest level. Earnhardt, and Kyle Bush get the most attention right now, and that's how it should be. Get a job covering Nascar for the media, and make it a point not to discuss Dale Jr. See how fast u get fired.

He's the most popular because his dad was so popular and when he died, all of his fans as well as the fans Jr. already had, went to him. The rest of the NASCAR fans get it. We don't care.

There is a difference between overrated and overexposed. Jr. may be overexposed, but he aint overr.ated
So when you see advertisements to Nascar that state (for example) "Join Superstars Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, and Dale Earnhardt Jr in the Sprint Series". What puts him in the "superstar" catagory?? That 1 win in two years?? Or his last name?? Or the fact that he has a huge fan base?
If this sport was a popularity contest. Sure, he'd be a superstar.

You say Jr gets a lot of coverage because he is the most popular driver then where was all the coverage of Bill Elliott in the 90's since he is a 16 time most popular driver
