I think there are a few drivers that get coverage no matter if they finish first or last. there are certain drivers that the media loves when they are not winning and when they manage to pull off a fluke victory we have to here a bout it for a year (I wont name anyone but you who they are). So i want to know who you all think the most overrated driver is.
I think JR used to be a little overrated, but since he has had some not so good seasons the media seems to have backed off some. And yep, I'm a Jr fan. I think right now Montoya and KY Busch are highly overrated.

I'm a Jr fan myself, and I certainly don't think he's overrated- the only people that worship him are us, JR Nation- no other drivers or sports casters kiss his butt
i think clint bowyer is overrated- he needs to relax in the nationwide series
JR is of course going to get a lot of attention and hype because of his father, but I definitely feel like the media is backing off of him in terms of expectations

Junior was overrated given his performance last year, but he's done very well this year and definitely deserves the attention he's getting. The man is running 3rd in points and has been in contention (and the favorite) to win late in several races this year.
I'd have to say maybe Biffle and Newman could probably be called overrated given their performance the past couple of years. They really haven't been that competitive very often... Sure, they don't get a ton of coverage on TV, but it seems like they are covered mostly because they USED to win a lot.... not because they are competitive in the races that they are being covered in....

Haha... Man that Mark Martin is SOOO over rated... he's never won a championship!
Kyle Busch may or may not win the championship this year, although I think he's the odds-on favorite so far this year, but I have no doubt that he will win a championship (or five) at some point in his career. The kid is pure talent and it is becoming more and more refined every race!
