Just curious.......anyone going to the fall race at Talladega. We Are!! Third year in a row.

So are any of our other members going to this race? I bet we have a few members going!

Hey everyone,

So I have infield passes to the Oct 9th race a Talladega. Anyone have suggestions for what to take? I am staying in a tent on the Turns 1 + 2 side, right by Talladega Blvd. Any tips would be great. Please help me out since this is my first time staying in the infield for more than just race day

i go every year.just live 1 hr away.

we have about 20-30 people going.most of us stay in campers.some stay in tents.we park in the free parking lot across the street from the tract.close to front as we can get.very dangerous in the back.some things to take are:generator,water,plenty of water.2 pairs shoes.,a canopy to protect you from the sun,chairs,scanner,little bit food,grill,a camcorder,camera.usually doesnt rain in oct.and of course your favorite drink.i dont know if they let you build fires in the infield. there is supposed to be a band.some of the drivers ride thru there on carts so keep an eye out.we leave on wed to get a good spot and come back on monday.we are sitting in the tri oval towers.tower seats are great can see all of tract.you need a flashlight also.a good web site is laidback racin.com.good luck to all your drivers!

i know i sent a message already but i thought of something else.sunscreen and glasses.we are still in the 80-90's.it's gonna be a little warm.any more questions just let me know.there is a store at the exit to the speedway,this is where we fill our tank with water,small charge but it bests filling it up at home and then driving with it full.this place is a blast,never seen anything like it.

Hey everyone. Thanks for all the tips. My friend and I are going to be in site 516 (between turns 1 and 2, second site in from the road, 1st row of tents after the motorhomes) if anyone wants to hang out. I think I got everything I need now. See everyone there!!!!
