Even if it was Jr with the win...and Jr being my favorite driver I still would be saying the other guy deserves the win...I mean I'm a fan of Tony...Check my first post when I came here where I mention being a fan of his...

But its clear that Tony forced him below the line

watch this video

1:44 - 1:48 or so

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyB9SqzovCs

you will see the force below the line..Nascar blew this one...I know nascar is not rigged but I see this as wanting a chase driver to win so he can get more points and make the chase more extincting

The best angle I've seen is the one from the blimp where you are basically looking straight down on the cars. It is pretty clear from that angle that the 01 car had his left side tires on and going over the yellow line before he had any portion of his car to the inside of Tony. The 01 had a chance to pass Tony on the outside, as he had the momentum going, but Tony did a fantastic job of blocking and so the only choice the 01 had was to try to flirt with the rules. He was caught and rightfully punished. THey all know the rules, no going below the yellow. And no, he was not forced if you see from the top-down angle.

Tony did a great job of blocking and won the race, get over it!

And Stephanie. maybe you shoulda posted that statement in the thread I made about getting sick of people saying nascar has favorites! Awarding him the win because he is a veteran and hasnt won in awhile? Nascar does not have favorites and is not rigged. They try to make the correct decisions. Srry if they arent perfect every single time. Maybe you should become the president of the sport.

Well sorry to say it does look like Nascar is playing favorites to a lot of people...
Why let Kyle Bush go below the line, Nascar allow it, gives him the win, , and this when Regan Smith goes below the line (when FORCED to do so to avoid a wreck with Tony) they punish Regan??????
Try and tell us there is no favortisum!!!

You know it looks suspicious..
there are two facts in nascar..
Win on sunday, sell on money
Toyota has DEEP DEEP pockets...

Toyotas are running good this year, but when they get beat...... the money talks.
Think about it... someone got payed off high in the ranking in Nascar to GIVE toyota every advantage they can get,.. double standards should prove the case.

have a good day

It's the best angle, that's what counts. Looking at the cars coming straight toward you, no matter how "close up" the camera is, can give a deceptive look at when one car passes the other. If you look straight down on the cars, it's pretty obvious. It's really rather simple logic, I'm surprised you don't understand it.

I dont agree with the guy getting 18th or whatever, thats kind of lame.

this isn't football sparky.... in this sport it takes more than one ball....the real problem I have is precident was set by letting johnny benson win this way in a truck series race... if it was good then, it is good now... not a tony hater... he did what he needed to do, guess regan needs to learn how to dump a guy on the last lap....

You are insinuating that Nascar picked Tony as the leader because he drives a Toyota and Nascar has that much of an interest in Toyota winning ANOTHER race this year; you just sound ignorant! Seriously, that kind of conspiracy theory garbage is for the uninformed. Please keep it off this forum.

And the difference with Kyle at the 499 earlier this year is that Kyle had a significant portion of his car underneath Johnson before Johnson moved his car sideways. This weekend, the 01 never had that. He didn't get underneath Tony with anything other than his splitter before he crossed the line. And then he stayed down, very far below the line with all 4 tires. Kyle moved two tires across to avoid a wreck with Johnson and moved right back up as Johnson realized his mistake. Pretty clear differences if you ask me!

how are they trying to make it more exciting? 1 position wouldnt really change the chase much! And about Kyle Busch, does it make it exciting to give him 8 or so wins (h/o many he has) b4 the chase even starts? If they tried that...the chasers would get atleast a top 15 every race. And again with Kyle...You think they favoritise (<<<not sure if thats a word) a driver who complains when he dont win, and they give him 8 wins in the first 26 races?? I doubt it. If you think he is one of "nascars favorites" how u say,

no name calling gordonfan.... edit everyone is entitled to their opinions.

Michael Waltrip has raced forever in nascar...he is a respected driver and never talks crap...so how come he isnt "favorited" by nascar? How come they dont throw bogus cautions...let him get away with things...let him cheat...just so he can win? He is happy finishing 19th place. How come they dont give him 8 wins this season? How come they dont let him go below the line? You see what im saying? If their were "favorites" then all the people like waltrip...Jarret (when he raced)...and Bill Elliot would be be able to win.

Maybe Smiths crew shoulda told him how to drive around Daytona. I like someones thoughts up b4 me...in football, when ur forced out, do you get to keep running for the touchdown??? In soccer...if you are taking it down the field, and someone else kicked it away from you, and it goes out...Do u get to go after it and try to score just because you arent the one that kicked it out?? NO!!
