Ticket Prices

What's everyones view on the state of ticket prices.

Personally I think they are getting pretty crazy, I mean it's well over a thousand bucks to take a family to a weekend.

NASCAR are gonna be pricing average folk out the market at this rate, or is there intention?

Yeah, they are pretty steep but actually being at a race weekend is a pretty amazing experience.

Well ticket prices cover alot of expense with the increasing exposure, and speeds more safety gear, better tracks, better stands, more accomodations etc are required. Bigger purses and so on.. so yeah they are high, but it's quite an experience.. I think it's worth it

Do you think the high prices are going to affect attendances though, look at california at the weekend. Some reports are saying there was only 60,000 there. I think that is a bit low but the attendance was definately down.

I'd love to go to a live race sometime but as a student I just can't afford it

How much does it cost to go to a race, I'm planning on maybe going to a couple this year if I can afford it.

I thinks it over $200 at most tracks for the full weekend.

That sounds about right compared to the price of something like F1 over here in the UK, however a lot more than it would be to go and watch touring cars (our nearest equivalent to nascar) although that is not nearly such a popular sport.
