Toyota

Toyota are supposedly entering cars in Nextel and Busch next year, they will be the 1st foreign entries since the 1950's apparently.

You guys got any thoughts on this?

I'm not sure about this, I think it should be only American manufacturers but hey it's just NASCAR going after the $$$'s so nothing new there.

Nothing wrong with foreign teams entering, our manufacturers will beat them hands down though

It wouldn't really surprise me as they seem involved in most other forms of motorsport and seem to have a lot of money to burn too.

They would be involved at some point as, as Michael said they seem to be involved with every other motor sport

Toyota coming to Nextel Cup

I know this is opening a big can of worms but I am going to ask anyway. How does everyone feel about Toyota coming into Nextel Cup in '07? I think it is a good thing for the sport, especially with the Big three's future's so uncertain. I am not sure how much longer they can keep putting big bucks into Nascar.

I'd agree if only those cars were Japanese... Toyota's are made in WV and Kentucky now. Just like Honda's are made in Ohio. Can't call that an import anymore the way I see it...

well technically if you continue with the foreign evil trend we have going here then dodge shouldn't be in cup since its owned by Daimler Chysler since they're a german company, so really this shouldn't be such the controversy it is, and dispite my own small hatred for foriegn autos, there already in the truck series, and so if they enter cup then fine its all the more promotion of nascar, I guess the main thing is i cann't see a way that it hurts the sport
