I come across so many little stories in my daily travels through the racing sites that are interesting, but don't really seam to warrant opening an entire thread for. So I thought we could have a thread to post them in. Some are very trivial and other humorous, but I figure with no races to occupy us, we could all use some kind of Nascar fix!

The Fort Worth [Texas] Police Department is investigating the theft of a vintage racing suit once worn by Dale Earnhardt Sr., according to a department news release.
Earnhardt’s racing suit, along with a helmet, racing gloves and a pair of racing shoes turned up missing from a locked storage closet earlier this month at the Texas Motor Speedway, the release read. The racing suit was part of a promotional display that was taken down on Nov. 5, according to the release, and the items were then boxed up and placed in storage. A week later, staffers discovered that the items, which are valued at up to $100,000, were missing, the release read.
The suit was housed at the TMS because it was donated to its president, Eddie Gossage. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS. There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible

"Don't come here and grumble about going too fast. Get out of the racecar if you've got feathers on your legs or butt. Put a kerosene-soaked rag around your ankles so the ants won't climb up there and eat your candy a**."
- Dale Earnhardt Senior at Talladega

Dale Earnhardt Jr. gives his friend, veteran Dale Jarrett, an eerie feeling sometimes. Jarrett said a feeling akin to déjà vu came over him at Talladega when Junior drove a Chevy that mimicked his late father's black-and-silver paint scheme.
"As I started racing with (Earnhardt Jr.), I thought how uncanny it was and how much he was just like his dad in the race car," Jarrett explained. "I thought it was kind of ironic last week, and I thought back to how I had always thought — and used to tell them — that if they would switch cars without anybody knowing, you honestly couldn't which one of them was in which car.
"Their characteristics were so much alike on the race track, so I thought it was really cool that you could have a father and son and be that much alike out there."

David Ragan, slated to replace Mark Martin in 2007, had a rough day at Martinsville Speedway, one of the sport’s tougher tracks. Afterwards, he was blamed for several crashes, drawing the notable ire of veteran Ken Schrader and reigning champion Tony Stewart, who called the 20-year-old Ragan “a dart without any feathers.”
Ragan and Stewart had never met, so Ragan took an unusual step in order to get to know Stewart. He bid $5,750 at a charity auction, earning a pre-race ride around Atlanta Motor Speedway with Stewart.
Stewart noted, somewhat whimsically, that Ragan could have saved himself the money by giving him a phone call.
