Just heard that Mayfield is out of the #19 for this weekends race. B. Elliott is in the car for the Glen. I guess since they are 36th in points, they are using Elliotts provisional to get in the race.

Yeah, it took me a while to figure out the champion's provisional idea. I thought, why Elliott? He's no road race ringer.

So Nascarspace, what have you heard? Anything about Mayfield being released? Where's he gonna go?

I'm posting this on both #19 threads... the #19 can't use the past champion's provisional because Bill Elliott wasn't listed as the driver by the 7/31 deadline! So he will have to qualify on time just like Jeremy would have had to.
