~lol~ I think y'all might be on to something here!!! Tony needs to take his own advice and stop acting like Mr. Nascar Police, telling everyone else to give, when he clearly does NOT!

Does everyone remember what Tony said after Daytona? "If they keep racing like this, someone's going to get killed." Hypocrite doesn't even listen to his own words!! I was reading the post about the incident with Ryan, and that is exactly how I would describe what happend to Clint!! Tony pulled right up beside him, took the air off the rear, and Clint's car got loose and went up the track. Son of a gun, Stewart, flings his finger out the window and ruins two driver's chances of even posting a top 10!
Carl Edwards is not a dirty racer. For him to do something like what he did on Sunday, he had to be provoked in a big way. I heard him say he was on his way down to Stewart's pits to "kick his ass". I say more power to ya Carl. By the way, who teaches these young drivers respect anyway? Isn't it supposed to be more seasoned drivers like Stewart.
Lets look at what happend to Jr. He got spun out by Blaney, but in the post interview, he was such a man!!!! He didn't go and flip Dave off, or beat his ass, he just said, "that's racin". I'm no big Jr. Fan but hooray for him and his maturity!!!!
I agree, Very good post. Now I need help. Do I quietly stand behind my driver tony or Jump ship and pick another? Remember I have been with this guy since before NASCAR when he was open wheel racin'. Its getting embarrassing. Wrecking Boyer and Edwards was bad enough but the finger? C'mon fer god sakes. Maybe he'll snap out of it but the bell has been rung and you can't say you didn't hear it. Or pretend like it did'nt happen.Tony please keep your mouth shut and drive and it will be what it is.Signed "discouraged in Tucson".
PS. NASCARSPACE ROCKS!!!
PSS. This is why we watch, isn't it?

This incident at Pocono sets another example on why these young guys shouldn't be brought up so early. Why was Clint Bowyer racing like it was the final lap? But Stewart shouldn't have wrecked him, which he took out Edwards. I know Stewart shouldn't have wrecked Bowyer, but what is it going to take to teach these young guys to not race so hard in the first 100 laps? Tony Stewart was right, if Dale Earnhardt was still with us, these young guys wouldn't act the way they are acting now. These young guys shouldn't be brought up so early.
Wow that is a dilemma! I think that if it were me, and I had followed Tony for that long, I'd hang with him through the end of the season. I'd keep my eye on his behavior and then decide if he is worthy of my being his fan any longer. Tony must be having problems that we don't know about. His erratic behavior is starting to get worse. This year he has been Jekyll and Hyde! Hang on a little longer and see if his temper gets under control again or not.
Well there you have my opinion for all that it is worth!
good luck with your decision,
MrsMopar

Gee, thought that was how they LEARNED, by experience!!! Bowyer had a pretty good run in the Busch races and is a clean driver. Tony needs to learn that he does not own the whole track and that sometimes it is "just racin". It is not just the "young guns" that are racing hard in the early part of the race, Tony is very guilty of just that the past two weeks!
What would you like for them to do, stay in the ARCA and Busch leagues until the are grey haired?!?!?!?!
I say more power to the young drivers and that the veterans should show them how to race by example! Like Tony preaches "give and take", would work nicely to show the newbies how to conduct them selves on the track. But when you have a 2 time Champ acting as Tony is.......what is that saying to the Rookies?!?!?!?!?
