When will they implement these new "smoke-free" tires?

Next thing you know, they'll be banning racing fuel for the fumes, then barbeques for the smoke, and oh by the way no batteries either, they give off harmful gases.

By the way, do alcoholic beverages actually have warning labels on em? I read it on the CDC site and was just wandering!

There goes NASCAR!

bigE,

That doesn't surprise me in the least!

The same goes for "noise polution." Have you ever heard a B52 fly over your home. The sound is beyond loud yet, try driving your car on city streets with a bad muffler or worse yet, OPEN HEADERS! At least with open headers the sound is tuned and any real race fan would appreciate the "music" coming from your race car!

A few years ago when a friend of mine and I both had alcohol doorslammers, we would fire 'em up (with open headers of course, race cars don't have mufflers ya know), take them out of my driveway and onto the street and race each other and then put 'em away before the law arrived. As soon as the law left, we got 'em back out again. The law kept tryin to figure out how they could never catch us (by the way I was a Deputy at the time but don't tell on me, okay?). We would do this for hours at a time oftentimes making dozens of passes on a given day. The neighbors just laughed when the cops would arrive again . . . . no one ever said a word! The ironic part about all of this is that the name of my race car was "Pursuit Vehicle, "my buddies . . . . . "Fugitive!" Go figure!

We sure had a blast!
