Why does it take 5 or 6 laps of caution to clean up 1 piece of tire on the track.Couldn't they just pick it up and start the race again.
I asked myself that same question and came to this conclusion.....
They might be able to. But NASA could also launch the shuttle alot of times when they decide not to. Safety. Redundant safety! When people's lives are at stake......5 laps really isn't alot. I know it's irritating, but is one lap worth a life? No. Sometimes it's fluids. They take longer to clean up. My fav is people complaining about cautions, but they're the same ones throwing things on the track! Sometimes they're out there cleaning up things we can't even see. But it is a necessary evil. If Nascar gave any less attention to safety, I would be disappointed.
YAY! for Queen of the Land! Well put, Grasshopper!

Sorry janejr, but I have to disagree with your critique of Flash's posts. I think Flash just happens to be one of the most knowledgeable of our members and I, for one, value his opinion. His posts are always concise and well thought out. I don't understand how you think he is negative either, maybe you just don't get his wit and humor, but I do!

Huh? Are we talking about the same flash? Flash is one of the most knowledgeable members here and a huge asset to the board. I've never seen him post anything I considered to be negative either, he's actually pretty funny. You can "LOL" about it all you want, but quite frankly, I find your post to be rather insulting. Wrapping it up with a "sorry" bow doesn't make it any better.
