I agree with you, would love to see the lucky dog go away!! They started this foolishness for "safety reasons" and I can kinda see that, BUT.....no one ever really got hurt racing back to the line. Oh, I miss that part of the race so much!

The lucky dog came into being because of an incident with Dale Jarrett almost getting hit.

But he didn't.

I just kinda feel that Nascar is getting overly cautious. And like flash pointed out, it has created a mess of a race in the race to be in the position to get it.

I would never like to see any driver get hurt, but come on. What's next? Having passing and no passing zones at the turns, because somebody could get loose on the bottom and then wreck somebody else

....................Enough already Nascar. I am all for the safety features, but is it really necessary to limit the race back to the line?
