NASCAR ponders schedule change next year for Dover race

DOVER, Del. (AP) - NASCAR is considering a change in the annual race calendar that could move the Nextel Cup race traditionally held in Dover in June to April.
But Dover Motorsports president and CEO Denis McGlynn tells The (Wilmington) News Journal it is too soon to predict what decision will be made about the Dover race.
McGlynn says staging an April race would be problematic because the harness racing season at the track ends in mid-April and there wouldn't be time to prepare the NASCAR track by the end of the month.
This year's Autism Speaks 400 Nextel Cup race was rained out yesterday in Dover and is scheduled to be made up Monday at noon.
