Hi Everyone.......

Can anyone tell me why the race bonus points for race leader, most laps led and the Race Winner don't show up in the Cup standing points! For instance,
Kurt Bush earned 10 Bonus points at Daytona for leading and most laps led.....
but they are not included in the Standings points. I can't find anybody who got those points!

Is Nascar waiting for the chase?

Hey, murrayr7!!

Let me break this down.

In Daytona, Kurt finished 41st. Which is worth 40 points. He got 10 bonus points for leading a lap and most laps led. So he ended up with 50 points after that race.

In Cali, Kurt did a good job pulling in a 7th place finish. He got 146 points for that finish.

Add the 50 at Daytona, and the 146 at Cali, and Kurt has 196 points in the standing.

Now I know where you can get confused because a lot of site show the points and bonus as 50/10. But they show the points total first (with bonus already added) and the bonus points that were awarded second..
