I understand that only teams and officials are allowed copies of Nextel Cup rules. Is this true? I would have thought that some copy must be floating around somewhere. Has anyone seen the rules?

I'm new to Nascar racing and was wondering why the rules wouldn't be available.

I actually have not seen them around and don't know if what you say is true, but I'm guessing they are fairly well kept private. I will check with some of my industry contacts and see if I can get a hold of that for us here.

what's the point of keeping everything so secret?

i don't know as far as that teams and officals are the only ones allowed a rule book, however i know that our teams recieves two copies of the rule book, one for the car owner and another for the driver, i don't think nascar trying to keep any secrets but with the extensive amount of different series within nascar their are several rule books and these books are roughly around 40 to 50 pages. therefore in order to accomidate ALL of the current 11 Nascar sanctioned series plus the dodge weekly racing series in which each track as seperate rule books as well.........i believe you should be able to understand why their not as available as some other major sports

So you can get a copy of the rulebooks if you're a member. Does this mean you have to own a team? Can I kick in a $5 annual donation? I wonder how big these rule books actually are.

If anyone does figure this out make sure you post it cause I would also like to see a copy of the rules. At least the ones for Nextel races.

I just want to have in print the fact that the qualifying cars ARE the same cars that the race on Sunday. Thank you.
