What's the current GM engine?

Question: Does anybody have any info on what engine Chevy is using in the Cup series right now. I know they were testing out the R07 at the end of last year but never heard anything since then. Any answers would be great.

Their split right now some are running the R07 and some are running the old engine, some are even running both engines at differant tracks in differant chassis. What compounds the issue is the oiling system plumbing is differant on R07 and its not easly interchangable, when the engines are swapped you have to change oil pick-ups, oil line routeing ,engine oil cooler lines and routing are also a problem.

The RCR-DEI engine devolepment is dedicated to the R07 engine Package...I think that's why DEI had so many engine failures last year...they wanted to get a head start on the engines but didn't know the limits..

I still think ... jr is hard on equipment... his own dad said that of him years ago...lol and the engines from RCR did not start at the beginning of last season..he was having engine issues prior to that.. but In his defense, the other DEI drivers were experiencing similiar issues.. and after the combined engine program started, even harvick and burton had some problems, just not complete blow ups.. They were able to finish the races on 7 cylinders a few times, where jr completely thrashed his..

E Jr is still no different than he ever was. He still stammers in a interview and he still is scruffy. What the heck are you looking at??? The only clear answer I have heard Jr give to a question this year was when he was asked if he races for anything other than a win. Oh and he also wants shorter races which according to our in house pole isn't what the fans want on a whole.

yeah I still remember his second interview at HMS... his first was in worn out jeans faded T-shirt and a hat that was tattered..from then on... all clean and PC spit and polish like the ford corporate teams of the early days.. Ford demanded the white uniforms and drivers had to clean up their acts, no more rough and rowdy ways ... no drinkin and cussin.. they wanna sell cars! and would not tolerate their image being tarnished by some back woods hooligans.. Na$car was founded by bootleggers who wanted to prove who's car was faster! lol A little scruff on the face doesn't mean he is still JR.. look back at miami vice... it was the thing to have a little facial scruff, and likewise today.. the larry the cable guy redneck goatee and stash.. lol but they are all being scruffy! tony especially, harvick too .. just saying curvy.. HMS is corporate! mold the driver to be a certain way! gotta sell products... to get sponsors.. all about the benjamins.. no offense curvy.. not picking on jeffy.. It is just the hendrick way of doing business.

Hay; bigEfan,Curves24 You folks need to come over to the thread in the chat area "The Nascar driver track survey" We got some idea,s on who you guys
like ,but we need more options, Thanks

Curves24 I agree I think Dale Jr is the same guy he always was. And maybe he is tough on equipment but so is Kyle Busch and his stuff has held up pretty well.
