Now there(state of Tennessee) trying to pass a bill that would make it illegal to smoke in your car when you have a child riding with you. They are really cracking down on smoking around here.

OK I am a smoker. Getting blasted here. Ill die of cancer soon enough. Not all smokers are inconsiderate. I allways pay attention to where I am and who I am with. If a non smoker comes to my home I ask to light up. If thats a problem then I go outside. ((((((MY OWN HOME)))))). I wont smoke in my car with a non smoker. (((((MY OWN CAR)))))). I am sorry that at times non smokers are subjected to my smoke however.....I cant smoke in a resturant, a mall, a hospital, a bowling alley, or any other indoor public facility. I understand that and its ok. But come on please let me smoke outside. The oder may repulse you, the fear may frighten you but realy I am addicted to tobacco. I think it is absolutly gross when a person spits a wad of chew on the ground, but I dont say anything because I fought in the UNITED STATES MILITARY for the rights I hold so dear. If they are going to make it illigal to smoke at an out door function I suggest that they make a smoking section so that the smokers can enjoy themselvse and the non smokers arnt subjected to it.

ha ha hey nobody is blasting you... personally I think it is a choice... as I have stated I am against new laws that take away anyones rights... funny how the government is trying to be in your homes too... they are requiring smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors in homes here... lets insurance companies out of paying out if you don't have them.. same as requiring car insurance... but if you violate any rules.. your insurance does not have to be liable.. you realize any car with ABS brakes has a computer in it similar to the black box on airplanes? they can nail you for speeding, non-use of seat belts, they know how fast you were traveling at time of crash, if you were on the brakes, if you have seat belts on... they want to tell you that you cannot smoke, I think part of that is by eliminating smoking they are gonna reduce DUI's.. cause people smoke at bars.. so by putting bars out of business... they eliminate DUI's... Bars will go out if business if the smokers cannot go there... not saying that all smokers drink...or that all drinkers smoke... some crazy bureaucrat put together data and wants to push his theories.. Most smokers are descent...only a few have ever been unruly.. government dictates so much in our day to day lives as it is. My experience is at restaurants, is that the resturant is at fault for putting smokers and non smokers too close together.. that amazes me... I was at a red lobster... lunch time.. they had maybe 10 people in the place..so to convenience the servers and wait staff they clumped everyone so close together.. my main problem with all this is government micromanaging our private lives.. they are targeting fast foods restaurants to fight obesity...why? cause obesity tends to increase medical costs on government so by attacking the fast food industry they think they will end the future health care costs...same as smokers... they just won't say that either. Who are they targeting? think about it.... they want the middle classes money to carry the poor and destitute who are on welfare.... the Democrats who are supposed to be representatives of the the working class are demons in sheeps clothing.. they are just as rich as the republicans... and are good at protecting their money... kinda reminds me of a quote from the famous psychologist... he said smoking is the outward manifestations of an oral fixation.. but when asked if he had and oral fixation because he smoked cigars.. he said it did not apply to him ... because he just enjoyed a good cigar... go figure...

oh yeah...BTW as much as you clinton supporters hate bush... your realize that hillarry is a distant relation to george bush?... make ya think a little huh?

I am shocked...what would junior johnson say? Nascar origins are from the whiskey runners... and then the winston cup? cigarettes sponsored nascar when nobody else would.. you know they are after fatty fast foods next... no more Mcd's ? then what? we have a smoking ban here as well, but it is getting out of hand... we keep taking freedoms from ourselves...not what our country was founded on..not what are sport was founded on.. next nascar will be shut down for noise pollution? is that the America you really want? yes it is easy to support these restrictions when then favor our opinion, but it is still wrong... you do know they are selling medical marijuana in vending machines in california? tell me what is wrong with that picture? cannot smoke legal cigarettes in public, but you can smoke dope? legalization only for taxation... bet on it... when you go to a bar you should expect smoke... that is just the way life is... question everything... and give back nothing...especially your rights. political correctness and too much government in our lives is not a good thing... use your heads people! oh well the screwed up bristol anyhow.. no desire to go there anymore. ugh... I do favor the move by tracks to promote family seating and campgrounds. again I am not a smoker and not a huge drinker either.. but that is by my choice..... not some bureaucrats!
Why don't you like Bristol?

I agree with everything you said by the way. I think we're letting our government dictate our society. A lot of the new laws that they're passing now are responses to social issues not governmental issues. There is a difference. But that's just my opinion.

Are we racin yet?

Just wonderin. I've only been goin to Bristol for a couple of years so I don't really know what it was like before.

last year after the spring race they tore it up and redid the track... changed the character of the track and made the late summer race rather uninteresting... do i wanna see a wreck fest? hmmm as long as my guys are not involved that is fine... but I have watched Harvick run from last to first in both cup and bush races there and not have a scratch on his car... so It doesn't have to be that way, they changed the banking..oh well guess we will have to give it some time and see what happens in the furture.
