Apolagises if this is a stupid question but I'm still very new to NASCAR. With the old style of car there were two flaps on the roof, to prevent cars from flipping onto their roofs after spinning out, (Please correct me if I'm wrong!)However on the new COT I can't see these flaps. Are they still there and I've just missed them? Or have NASCAR come up with a new design element to prevent /reduce the possibility of cars fliping over?! All help will be greatly appreciated!
That is a pretty good question.I had to look for a while to find this pic but judging by this one I would say yes they still have them.Hope this helps.

yup honcho that sure looks like a roof flap to me! with all the changes to the COT... alot of us were in shock looking at splitters and wings... good thing ya got us looking!
so what is it called now...car of today? or shall we bite the bullet and just accept it as the car now?

Found this picture. If you look closely, you can see both flaps. So the answer to the question is , yes they are using the flaps and no they don't have something new.
