Don't take offence, many people just dont' think he or his team are ready and I am one of them. I think he has decent potential but the Ganassi team is just not there yet. Barring a fuel mileage deal, I think Clint Bowyer is the next most likely to get his first win this year.
That said, I wouldn't put much stock in the first win thing either...Gilliland got a Busch win last year but that doesn't make him a good driver

remember tony in the busch series... shell car? he sucked... no wins... kinda a let down... but man he sure whipped the naysayers when he hit the cup scene... reed just needs a little extra something...abiltity to tell the crew what the car needs... maybe he needs a seasoned vet like mark martin to set up a car for him so he "knows" what a good race car is supposed to feel like... sometimes that is really all ya need to know... if you never felt a truely good car how ya supposed to fix one that isn't?

idiotic? stupid? i dont know. some of the words to discribe the way this conversation is turning out to be. We all know Kasey is gonna win races...maybe not this year but he will and we all know that Reed is gonna win his first race...maybe not this year but he WILL win one. you guys are just taking things and shoving into each other's faces just to make their driver and themselves feel bad. maybe that isnt the case but that's the way i see it.

hmmm let me see how to say this..... when someone says .... a cold wet budweiser is better than sex..... how are you to relate to the experience if you have never had sex?...... you can try to fix problems with how a car handles....but different types of tracks , concrete / asphalt... sometimes the "fix" may be a single item needing to be adjusted.... air pressure, wedge, camber... however... when there are multiple adjustments needed... then it is much more difficult to diagnose.... only experience will help.... If you never took a carburator apart, how would you know how to reassemble it? ...was just an opinion anyhow.... drivers each seem to want different setups.... they learn to drive with the car they have... if the car is set up correctly, they need to drive it correctly.... sometimes, when a superior driver gives you the setup and tells you how it should be driven.... you then learn more....if you never had a real good car, you compensate how you drive... if you get in a rut with your driving style you don't know how to drive a really good car... so you never make the right adjustments... that is what makes a truely great driver.....

I wouldn't pay much attention to the TV announcers.
The only persons opinion that really matters right now is Chip Gannasi.
He pays his salary, and if he didn't believe that Reed has the talent to be a winner I am sure he would be out of the car.
Don't take it to heart, If you, all of his other fans, Chip and Reed believe he will win then I am sure he will.
