Wimmer out at RCR after 2008:#29-Scott Wimmer, who combined with Jeff Burton to give Richard Childress Racing the 2007 Nationwide Series owners' title, isn't part of the team's plans for '09, he said Thursday. Despite his status as a part-timer, the 32-year-old from Wausau [Wisconsin] has won as many races as the rest of the Chidress drivers so far this season - one - but his chances presumably were hurt by his inability to take a checkered flag last year in a car with which Burton won five times. in my opinion Childress screwed Wimmer over Jeff Burton doesn't need to run the nationwide series he deserved a full ride

ouch man that hurts...I didnt think he would be up for cup but I thought He was at least helping the nationwide car. But that makes sense in a way....cuz the fourth RCR teammate is gonna have to pilot the n'wide car and he doest wanna tye up an extra driver

screwed him over??? His time at RCR was a blessing for wimmer that they kept him as long as they did.He never did get the finishes he should of had in the Nationwide or Sprint cup car when he was in them.

Well first of all you have to have a sponsor that likes you and I think Holiday Inn was Burtons deal.So actully Wimmer got lucky to race the ones he did cause if it was up to HI Burton would have raced them all and you have to win races and I mean more than 1 or 2 and he didn't.Look at the JGR car all three drivers get in and win and again Wimmer couldn't do it.

and this is whats wrong with nascar sponsers shouldn't be deciding who drives what they need to shut up and just let there name be on the cars

Yea good luck with that.Major sponsors pay what 10 million a year for a Nationwide car sponsorship and they supposed to sit there,shut up and watch the car go round.If you ever own your own team let me know how that works out.

Yeah Holiday Inn, just give them millions of dollars for your name to be on the car but you don't get a say in who is representing you in the public eye. Somehow, I doubt that would go over real well.
