You either like him or you don't. There is no other way around it. Tony said he never touched Kyle even though it sure did look like it. We never got to hear from Kyle.
In the 500, I am sure all you Jr. and J. Gordon fans were cheering when he crashed with Kurt and all you Tony fans are pissed at Kurt. Kurt had no choice, if he let up, Kyle was going to wreck him. That was Tony's race to lose, he was unstopable.
Question, are all the Jr. fans pissed at Edwards or Rudd and all the J Gordon fans pissed at Kyle or Nascar for not bringing out the caution? Everything always comes back around.
Tony is a good driver. A very good one @ that. Maybe I am impartial because he is my favorite driver, and while sometimes I don't agree with some of the things that he does, he knows how to drive a racecar. Don't hold that against him.
I think his "outspokeness" is why many are fans of his. He is a great driver, and like others have said hes not a PR guy. He speaks his mind and if it gets him in trouble it happens. Some of these other drivers, I swear must have a professional speech writer on the team....Ok ______ here is what you say if you come in 2nd, or if you crash, blow an engine. These speeches are all prepared so as not to incite any emotion out of anyone, after all, we wouldnt want to possibly hurt a feeling
I will admit he is a very good driver but there not one driver in the series that you can make that statement about. Well you could it would be biased.
Maybe it was sarcastic and it is sometimes hard to read sarcasm so sorry if it was.

Hard to read my sarcasm? How many smilies do you want me to use???
Just teasing Yes I was being sarcastic... but if we were to have a real debate as to who the series' best driver is, Tony would be right up there top 3 with lots of evidence including record, opinion of other drivers, success in other forms of racing etc..
But you could make that argument about him being in the top three or four. I would aggree with that.
Forget top 4... top 3 for sure I can live with that and won't push the matter. It would be pretty tough to categorically prove which driver is the best and first we'd have to define criteria and a method to measure it. Too much work
I hate to disagree but have you seen Tony Stewarts stats?
